HAMPTON, Va. (Nov. 2, 2017) — The Hampton University Office of Admission welcomes 110 of the brightest high school students in the country to campus for the 15th Annual Honors Visitation Weekend Nov. 9-12.
"The Hampton University Honors Visitation weekend is one of the most enriching programs offered by the Office of Admission and Student Recruitment Team," said Hampton University President Dr. William R. Harvey.
This invitation-only event is full of engaging events for potential Hamptonians, giving them a inside look at life at Hampton University. The Office of Admission identifies and invites students based on GPA and standardized test scores. Once selected, students have the opportunity to visit classes, enjoy a luncheon with university deans, attend the Scholarship Award Gala and worship at the University Chapel. The schedule of events includes activities for both the high school student and their guardians.
"Students from all over the country have had the opportunity to attend this program and have enjoyed each moment," said Hampton University Dean of Admission, Angela Boyd. "This program was created to introduce you to Hampton University and acquaint you with our outstanding academic programs and services."
Honors Visitation Weekend is a great opportunity for students and parents to acquaint themselves with Hampton University and discover why we are THE Standard of Excellence.
