10/21/2016 - #69

Hampton, Va. — The Hampton University Office of Admission will welcome 100 of the brightest high school students in the country to campus for the 13th annual Honors Visitation Weekend Nov. 10-13.

"The Hampton University Honors Visitation weekend is one of the most enriching programs offered by the Office of Admission and Student Recruitment Team," said Angela Boyd, Hampton University Dean of Admission. "Students from all over the country have had the opportunity to attend this program and have enjoyed each moment. This program was created to introduce you to Hampton University and acquaint you with our outstanding academic programs and services."

This invitation only event is full of engaging events for the potential Hamptonians, giving them a inside look at life at HU.  The Office of Admission identifies and invites students based on GPA and standardized test scores. Once selected, students will have the opportunity to visit classes, enjoy a luncheon with university deans, watch the Pirate football team take on Savannah State, attend the Scholarship Award Gala and worship at the University Chapel. The schedule of events includes activities for both the high school student as well as their guardian.

Honors Visitation Weekend is a great opportunity for students and parents to acquaint themselves with Hampton University and discover why we are The Standard of Excellence.
