10/22/2019 - #90

HAMPTON, Va. (Oct. 22, 2019) — Halloween is a time for reflection at the Hampton University Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications, as this year marks the fourth anniversary of Joseph K. Bose’s passing and the creation of the Joseph K. Bose Endowed Scholarship in his memory.

The Joseph K. Bose Endowed Scholarship is an annual scholarship given to a well-deserving Hampton University junior male student majoring in journalism with a grade point average of 2.5 or better. The Joseph K. Bose Endowed Scholarship was formed in memory of Joseph Bose who was shot and killed in 2015. He was a promising journalism student in the Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications with an optimistic approach to life. The creation of the Joseph K. Bose Endowed Scholarship allows other students with a passion for journalism to be able to thrive.

Norfolk police are still looking for the gunman. Friends and family continue to wait on answers surrounding his death and urge anyone with information to please come forward.
