Hampton, Va. — The Minority Retirement Security (MRS) Grant team in the Hampton University School of Business. presents the “Are you Financially Healthy, Wealthy and Wise?” financial seminar. This free educational event will be separated into three seminars, with each one geared to a specific demographic. The series will take place Friday Nov. 18 and Saturday Nov. 19 All three seminars will take place in the Student Center Ballroom.
Friday 11/18/16: 12 noon – 2:00 pm (Faculty & Staff)
Friday 11/18/16: 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm (Students)
Saturday 11/19/16: 9:00 am – 12 noon (Open to all)
Financial topics to be discussed include: credit, credit scores, money management, budgets, retirement social security and more.
“As a part of this Grant’s initiative, we train Graduate Fellows in various financial topics, to give Financial Education and Literacy Workshops in the Hampton Roads Community,” said Dr. Sylvia Rose We are happy to be able to offer this same important information to our University community, in hopes that it will be of service to you in your personal financial planning and decision making.” Support Staff are especially encouraged to attend.
The first 50 attendees on Saturday will receive tickets for the HU v. NSU Game football game which kicks off at 1pm. Children are welcome to attend Saturday’s seminar ! Food will be available on site along with gift card raffles.
