HAMPTON, Va. (Nov. 13, 2019) — Students interested in graduate and professional schools were invited to attend the 2019 Graduate and Professional School Fair on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, hosted by the Hampton University Career Center.
“Today is a special day in which the Career Center brings recruiters from across the nation to our “Home by the Sea,” to network with those Hampton students who desire a graduate education. Mrs. Bessie Willis and her staff do a great job each year, attracting a variety of recruiters to meet our scholars as they prepare to enter the next stage of their academic careers,” said Hampton University President, Dr. William R. Harvey.
Several colleges, universities, law schools, schools of medicine and more from all over the United States were on hand to speak about their respective programs with Hampton University students. The fair allows Hampton University students to be exposed to graduate schools from all over the country in one place.
“The Career Center hosts the Graduate and Professional School Fair once a year, to provide students an opportunity to network with graduate schools from all over the country. Students are encouraged to visit as many schools as possible and gather information that will help them make a sound decision about which graduate school to attend. Many of the schools that attend the fair offer waivers of application fees and some even offer full-tuition to HU students,” said Mrs. Bessie Willis, Hampton University Career Center Director.
