HAMPTON, Va. (May 22, 2018) – Shawn Purvis, Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Northrop Grumman Corporation, addressed the 2018 Volgenau School of Engineering at George Mason University.
Purvis earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Hampton University and a Master’s degree in information systems from George Mason University. She also earned a program management certification and graduated from the Executive Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Purvis leads and executes all aspects of Northrop Gruman’s internal IT strategy and related responsibilities. With more than twenty years of experience in the intelligence, information system, and defense industries, Purvis also takes pride in maintaining strong community involvement. She is a board member of the Northern Virginia Family Services Council and holds two years as a board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Prince William County, Virginia.
In 2015, Purvis was appointed to the George Mason University Board of Visitors and is an active member of the Executive Leadership Council.
