Take HU Courses Online This Summer
HAMPTON, Va. (May 18, 2018) — Take advantage of Hampton University’s general education course offerings during the 2018 Summer Session via Hampton U Online. A number of general education and specialized courses will be offered this summer.
Course offerings and descriptions for the main campus and HU Online are included in the 2018 Summer Session Bulletin. Students may transfer up to a maximum of 6 credit hours taken through HU Online to the main campus to complete degree requirements. The HU Online Summer session extends from May 29 to July 27, 2018.
Benefits of Enrolling in HU Online for the Summer Session:
*Only $300 per credit hour for undergraduate students - The tuition was reduced by $200 to make courses more affordable for our students.
*Meet Your General Education requirements - By taking one or two general education courses online in the summer, students will be able to focus on their major courses during the fall semester.
*Stay at Home- With HU Online, students have the option to remain at home for work, internships or other activities, and still take courses at Hampton.
*Receive Transfer Credit - When students take classes at other institutions, it is often a challenge to readily receive transfer credit. Course credit earned through HU Online is readily applied to the student’s academic record.
“Students can be assured that the courses they take online are equivalent in content to the courses offered on the main campus,” said Dr. Pollie S. Murphy, Director of the Summer Session. “Courses taken through Hampton U Online, rather than at another institution during the summer, help us to maintain the integrity of a degree earned at Hampton University.”
