HAMPTON, Va. (November 26, 2019) –A common fall event every Cadet participates in is a FTX, normally it is the coldest, rain soaked weekend of the month, but this year the Pirate Battalion was spared the hardship with great training weather. The Cadets had the opportunity to go to FT Eustis and brush up on those activities which will be waiting for them at Summer Camp. The more opportunity they have to practice the techniques the better they will perform at Camp. More than 39 Cadets embraced the challenge of the FTX.
Following the FTX, LTC(R) Brian Butler, Class of 1985, footed the bill for the Cadets to have pizza, chips, dessert, and drinks. The money for the Cadets was requested from BDE, but due to Continuing Resolution issues with Federal Budget, the request was rejected. In his own words, LTC Jae Marquis stated, "Another Hampton University Army ROTC Alum comes through again."
