HAMPTON, Va. (April 3, 2019) - Brigadier General Xavier T. Brunson become a Major General in the United States Army, Tuesday, April 2, 2019. At 1000 hours Eastern Standard Time or 1700 hours Arabia Standard Time in Iraq, LTG Paul LaCamera, Commanding General XVIII Airborne Corps pinned the insignia on MG Brunson. "When MG Brunson graduated in 1990, all I wanted was for him to do his best, and God has blessed him to rise beyond my wildest dreams," said Lt. Claude Vann III, mentor to BG Brunson. The Corps CG announced that MG Brunson will become the CG for the 7th Infantry Division, at FT Lewis, WA. The pinning ceremony was available to watch through Skype.
