Hampton, Va. (March 11, 2020) — After 10 years of serving our Nation, MAJ Nina (Martin) Hall, Class of 2010, will be popping smoke and leaving the Army due to a medical retirement. Though she is leaving the active force, MAJ Hall has accepted a civilian position with the 310th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, in Indianapolis, IN. Before her transition to the civilian realm, there was a moment of celebration with Hampton Alumni, and other battle buddies.
On March 6th, she celebrated her medical retirement, promotion to Major, and was joined by two of her classmates (CPT(R) Justice Telfare, and active duty CPT Tiffany Tompkins), and virtually with CPTs Courtney Dockins and Jessica Young (Wilkins). Other Hamptonians that sent her congratulatory notes included; CPT Ashli Phillips, 1LT, Ret. Arthur Flood, CPT Antwyne Hines and CPT Rodney Lee. The Pirate bond is evident and it is MAJ Hall's desire that they will continue to stay in touch.
Over the years there is a tendency to lose track of folks, some deliberately choose to distance themselves from their "home by the sea" and battle buddies, while others just get consumed by the activities of life. Our hope is that all will remember the struggles which taught us perseverance, the fun times that brought unity in the Pirate Battalion/University, and finally we must remember those that paved the way for the tremendous reputation Hampton University has, as well as assisting the future warriors that are striving to attain the achievements of other Hampton Military Alumni.
God bless you MAJ Hall and thanks for staying in touch!
