HAMPTON, Va. (Nov. 6, 2017) –Get your head in the game with networking, game planning and even more on how to make it in the league. A “Get in the Game” panel discussion will be held Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. in the Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications’ auditorium at Hampton University.
NFL Player’s Association Director of Communications Carl Francis, former NFL player Aaron Rousse (Green Bay Packers), NBA referee Tony Brothers and Kelli Webb, founder of KBD group (publicist for several NFL players) will be in attendance to make sure you’ve got your game on point.
“This “Get in the Game” panel discussion is an example of the innovative, interactive, cutting edge media programs that you will find at the Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications under the leadership of industry performers like Professor April Woodard,” said Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications Dean DaVida Plummer. “She is introducing our strategic communications students to an endless array of media campaigns, and we are excited about this opportunity for our students.”
The discussion will break down the sports industry and give key insight on the opportunities that are offered on and off the court. Throughout the event there will be a running Twitter feed (#getinthegame). Panelists will have the opportunity to answer questions submitted by the audience.
Just outside the auditorium, Hampton University’s rising entrepreneurs will be displaying their brands, products and services on sale throughout the event.
