The Hampton University Class of 2015 is ready to soar. The graduates donned their caps and gowns May 10 and joined the ranks of thousands of Hamptonians making an impact all over the world. Read about some of the good things students are embarking upon after HU.
In December, Tyechia Paul became the first person to receive a Ph.D. from the Hampton University School of Business. On May 10, Dr. Paul, along with approximately 1,000 other Hampton graduates, marched in Armstrong Stadium.
"Know that with every breath and step, the journey is as important as the destination…keep trotting." These are the words by which Joshua Burton lives. Burton's journey has led him to be one of the three seniors presented with the 2015 Hampton University President's Cup.
Sydnei Fryson, a 2015 graduate from the Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications, will be taking her talents to Charlotte, N.C. to intern with NASCAR for the summer.
Becoming a Supreme Court Justice has been Demarius Newsome's dream since he stepped foot onto HU's campus four years ago. Now, he is one degree closer to achieving that dream. Newsome, a psychology major from Meadville, Penn., is a member of the HU Class of 2015.
