Frederick Douglass Adaptation at HU

Hampton University's Stone Manor Residence Hall is hosting "An Afternoon with Frederick Douglass" at 4 p.m., Feb. 8 at Moton Hall on campus. The event will feature local Poet Nathan Richardson portraying Douglass, a writer and African American social reformer in the 1800s. Richardson will recite excerpts from two of Douglass' historical speeches, "Speech on Haiti" and "What To the Slave Is The Fourth of July?"

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees will be allowed to ask questions after Richardson's performance. For more information contact Nadine Freeman at 757-727-5341.

Hampton University Spring Career Fair

The Hampton University Career Planning and Placement Center Career Fair is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Feb. 26 in the Student Center Ballroom. The event is open to all HU students and alumni.
