Dr. Kunio M. Sayanagi
Dr. Kunio M. Sayanagi, assistant professor of planetary science at Hampton University, has been selected by the U.S. National Academy of Sciences to present at the inaugural Forum for New Leaders in Space Science program, which is a joint program with the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The Forum is designed to provide opportunities for a highly select group of young space scientists from the United States and China to discuss their research activities in an intimate and collegial environment at meetings to be held in the United States and China.
Hampton University Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications welcomed senior executives and recruiters from the Walt Disney companies to speak with students of all majors at the "Disney Day" event.
Companies included Walt Disney, Disney Parks & Resorts, Marvel, ESPN and ABC networks. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions to ABC Network Anchor Deborah Roberts.
Hampton University participated in a "Walk A Mile in Her Shoes" event to bring awareness to April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month. At the event, located at the Peninsula Town Center, men wore high heel shoes to demonstrate their sensitivity to the issue of rape and sexual assault among women.
