WASHINGTON – Rigil announced today its partnership with Hampton University’s Department of Aviation in the School of Engineering and Technology. Hampton University will be using the StrataGem platform for its Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-approved Air Traffic Collegiate Training Initiative (AT-CTI) training program.

Gomes is an associate professor in the Hampton University School of Nursing. Induction into the Academy is a significant milestone in a nurse leader’s career as their accomplishments are honored by their colleagues within and outside of the profession. Fellows are selected based on their contributions and impact to advance the public’s health.
HAMPTON, VA. (Aug. 11, 2021) — Gabrielle S. Howard, a 2021 graduate from Hampton University’s Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders, is now serving as the President-Elect of the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA). Howard is the first Hampton University student or alumnus to hold this office.
HAMPTON, Va. (August 5, 2021) – Recognizing that many Hampton University students and their families have experienced financial hardships due to the pandemic, Dr. William R. Harvey, Hampton University President, has announced the University is providing assistance to its returning students by utilizing funds received from the Federal Relief Act. Hampton University will pay the outstanding balances owed by continuing undergraduate students who were enrolled at the end of the Spring 2021.

(July 29, 2021) — Three students in the Hampton University School of Engineering and Technology have received the Apple Scholars Engineering and Innovation Scholarship Award for the 2021-2022 school year in partnership with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF). Each scholarship is valued at $15,000.
HAMPTON, VA. (July 28, 2021) — The Hampton University Museum is will receive $75,000 from the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund to assist with the preservation of Charles White's historic 1943 mural “ The Contribution of the Negro to Democracy in America.” The grant will be utilized to install an HVAC system in Clarke Hall, home of the mural. The system will help maintain an environment for the mural’s future conservation.

(July 20, 2021) — Hampton University Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications 2020 graduates Roderick McLean and LeVord (Lee) Burns II have been named members of the 2021 ESPN NEXT production cohort. ESPN NEXT is the 18-month leadership development program for young professionals at the worldwide leader in sports. The program is designed to develop production assistants into ESPN's next generation of leaders.
HAMPTON, VA. (July 15, 2021) — Hampton University alumnae Kadidja Dosso has been named the inaugural HBCU grand prize winner through Black Ambition, a contest established by Grammy Award-winning, Hampton Roads native Pharrell Williams. Dosso will receive $250,000 to support her company Dosso Beauty and Hampton University is receiving an unrestricted $75,000 grant as the HBCU affiliated with the top-scoring venture.
HAMPTON, Va. (July 8, 2021) — Hampton University (HU) has been chosen by the Peninsulas Emergency Medical Services (PEMS) Council, Inc. EMS Awards Committee to receive the 2021 PEMS Special Recognition Award for its work in providing a Community Vaccination Clinic and Mobile Vaccination Unit during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
